Partner,
Global leader of Bain's Operating Model solution
Laura van Dijk is the global leader of our Operating Model solution and a member of our Enterprise Technology, Agile, and Financial Services practices.
Laura is passionate about enabling companies to achieve their potential through modern, tech-forward operating models - building dynamic, fast-moving organizations that point the power of their people at executing a focused strategy. In today's world, technology is at the core of a company's ability to do this. The destination matters, but so does the journey and so change management is often at the heart of what she does.
More specifically, her work takes many flavors - AI transformations, Agile / product transformations, digital transformations, and beyond. For example, she has led a number of major transformations for various Fortune 100 players across sectors, with a focus in Financial Services. These often include ensuring that a company's op model is aligned to strategy, workflows are simplified and supported by effective technology and AI, and cross-functional teams turbo-charge a company's most important strategic priorities. She has also worked with leaders to ensure the shape and size of their workforces are in line with their needs and are set up for the future.
Before joining us in 2012, Laura spent several years with Gartner (formerly the Corporate Executive Board), working in the organization’s Washington, D.C. and London offices.
She holds an MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, where she was a Fuqua Scholar. She also earned a B.A. in history from Duke, graduating in the top two percent of her class.
